Police Scotland - Police Scotland was formally established on 1 April 2013 and is responsible for policing across the length and breadth of Scotland, some 28,168 square miles. Police Scotland is the second largest force in the UK after the Metropolitan Police.
Scottish Fire & Rescue Service - The service was established on 1st April 2013, bringing together the collective skills and experience from across Scotland’s previous eight fire and rescue services. The best way to deal with an emergency is to prevent it from happening in the first place, and the role of SFRS starts long before any 999 call is made. They work in close partnership with local communities right across Scotland to deliver crucial safety messages in the fight against fire.
